Viral Video Marketing Campaign: Corning: A Day Made of Glass

Cornings Viral Video Marketing Campaign

Cornings viral video marketing campaign is amazing. There’s a very good reason it’s number one on the French viral video charts. The video breaks the rules and runs for over 5 minutes, but I didn’t even notice and nor did 11 million + other viewers. The company Corning, who I’d never heard of until seeing this viral video, produce speciality glass and ceramics. Sounds boring doesn’t? How could you possibly make an interesting video about that? Especially one that is ranking highly in the viral video charts after enjoying over 340,000 facebook shares, 14 thousand + Tweets and over 1000 blog posts? The answer is simple. You sell a future that most people dream of. Cornings video campaign didn’t achieve the huge results that the Adidas All In campaign that we previously reported on. Then again Cornings are selling glass not trainers and clothing.

Here’s the viral video.

Kudos to Cornings Incorporaed for this video. I may have not known who they were beforehand but I definitely wont forget their brand after seeing their video marketing campaign.

What did you think? Were you as impressed as we were?

Definitely an interesting video and you’re right, not typical of the viral videos we normally see take off. I have to wonder though if their vision of the future will be as accurate as the AT&T commercial from the 70s (or was it 80s?).

It’s all about word It’s all about word of mouth; in the book The Tipping Point the author tekald about how the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere was only successful because of his ability to connect with people normally by being entertaining and easy to talk to, and so people listened to his recommendations. Things to consider!
